Job summary

Nurse Next Door is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides in California to provide nonmedical in-home care for seniors. You can work 10 to 40 hours per week with flexible morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts.

Must be at least 18 and have or be pursuing California Home Care Aide Registry registration. Responsibilities include executing care plans, assisting with ADLs, hygiene, meal planning, light housekeeping, and transportation to appointments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Current registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry.
• Criminal background check completed.
• Evidence of entry-level training or plan to complete paid training.
• Evidence of tuberculosis testing.
• Ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Execute the client’s care plan as outlined by the Care Designer.
• Help clients with ADLs within the scope of practice for a Health Care Aide.
• Assist with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing.
• Assist with transfers, ambulation, and mobility.
• Assist with prescribed exercises and meal planning/preparation.
