Job summary

Nurse Next Door is seeking compassionate Home Care Aides to support seniors at home in California. This role offers flexible part-time or full-time hours with shifts from morning to overnight.

You will assist with ADLs, meal prep, light housekeeping, transportation, and companionship under a care plan designed by a Care Designer. Applicants must be at least 18, have CA Home Care Aide Registry registration or be willing to obtain it, and pass background checks and TB testing.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a high school diploma or equivalent
• Current registration with the California Home Care Aide Registry or ability to obtain it
• Criminal background check completed
• TB testing completed and no active tuberculosis
• Ability to read and follow written instructions, document care
• Self-directed with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) per care plan
• Provide personal hygiene support (skin, mouth, hair, bathing, dressing)
• Assist with transfers, positioning, and ambulation
• Support prescribed exercises as instructed by health professionals
• Prepare meals and assist with dietary needs
• Provide light housekeeping and companionship
• Remind about medications and report changes to supervisor
• Drive to appointments or run errands and document hours
