Job summary

Hartford HealthCare provides Homemaker Caregiver support to elderly and disabled individuals in home settings. This role includes personal care, meal preparation, and light housekeeping within a 30-minute drive from your home.

You will monitor client conditions, communicate with nurses and coordinators, and maintain care plans with accuracy. The position emphasizes compassion, reliability, and professional service in every interaction.

Qualifications

• Hourly Caregivers must have a driver's license and car with auto insurance.
• One year of previous personal care experience at a facility or agency.
• Two years of continuous work experience.
• New Grad CNA's are welcome.
• Caregivers must be comfortable driving within 30 minutes of where they live for cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene and grooming care to clients.
• Assist with toileting, ambulation, and mobility.
• Prepare meals for clients' nutritional needs.
• Report changes in clients' condition to nurse, supervisor, or client care coordinator.
• Perform routine housekeeping and home management duties.
• Record each client's care on care plan and submit timely updates.
• Provide emotional support to clients and families.
• Assist with routine therapy exercises.
• Participate in case conferences as requested.
• Attend in-service education sessions.
• Use computer software and smartphone for required education.
• Represent the company with professional customer service and conduct.
