Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is hiring Hourly Homemaker Caregivers to support elderly and disabled clients in their homes. You will assist with daily living activities, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and light housekeeping, delivering compassionate, client-centered care.

A valid driver’s license and car with insurance are required; one year of personal care experience is preferred; new grads with CNA are welcome.

Qualifications

• Driver's license and access to a car with auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Personal hygiene and grooming care to clients.
• Assistance with toileting, ambulation, and daily living activities.
• Providing meals for clients' nutritional needs.
• Reporting changes in clients' condition to nurse or supervisor.
• Performing routine housekeeping and home management duties.
• Recording care in care plan and submitting timely updates.
• Providing emotional support to clients and families.
• Assisting with routine therapy exercises.
• Attending required in-service education sessions.
• Maintaining professional representation and high level of customer service.

Location Detail: 1290 Silas Deane Hwy Wethrsfld (10181). Shift Detail: Hourly cases range anywhere from 4-12 hours at any time in the day, evening or night. Shifts will take place within 30 minutes of where you reside. Work where every moment matters.

The Homemaker Caregiver Position Provides

• Personal hygiene and grooming care to clients
• Assistance with toileting, ambulation, etc.
• Providing meals for clients' nutritional needs
• Reporting changes in clients' condition to nurse, supervisor, or client care coordinator
• Performing routine housekeeping and home management duties
• Recording each client's care on care plan and submitting care plan in a timely manner
• Assisting with providing emotional support for the clients and their families
• Assisting with routine therapy exercises
• Participating in case conferences as requested
• Attends all required in-service education sessions
• Has the ability to use computer software program and smart phone for required education
• Represents the company in a positive and professional manner through a high level of customer service
• Can think critically without direct supervision and the ability to escalate when appropriate.

Qualifications

• Hourly Caregivers must have a driver's license and car with auto insurance
• One year of previous personal care experience at a facility or agency
• Two years of continuous work experience
• New Grad CNA's are welcome
• Caregivers must be comfortable driving within 30 minutes of where they live for cases.
