Job summary

Hartford HealthCare is seeking Homemaker Caregivers to assist elderly and disabled clients in their homes. You will provide personal hygiene, grooming, meals, and companionship while documenting care plans and coordinating with nurses and supervisors.

Ideal candidates have CNA certification or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and the ability to drive within 30 minutes of home. Prior care experience and reliable transportation are required.

Qualifications

• Hourly caregivers must have a driver's license and car with auto insurance.
• At least one year of previous personal care experience in a facility or agency.
• Two years of continuous work experience.
• New Grad CNAs welcome.
• Caregivers must be comfortable driving within 30 minutes of where they live for cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene and grooming care to clients.
• Assist with toileting and ambulation.
• Provide meals for clients' nutritional needs.
• Report changes in clients' condition to nurse or supervisor.
• Perform routine housekeeping and home management duties.
• Record care on care plan and submit timely.
• Offer emotional support to clients and families.
• Assist with routine therapy exercises.
• Participate in case conferences as requested.
• Attend required in-service education sessions.
