Job summary

Hartford HealthCare Independence at Home is seeking compassionate Homemaker Caregivers to support elderly and disabled clients in their own homes. You will assist with personal care, meals, light housekeeping, and documentation while delivering respectful, safe care.

Qualifications

• Hourly caregivers must have a driver's license and car with auto insurance.
• One year of previous personal care experience at a facility or agency.
• Two years of continuous work experience.
• New Grad CNA's are welcome.
• Caregivers must be comfortable driving within 30 minutes of where they live for cases.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal hygiene and grooming care to clients.
• Assist with toileting, ambulation, etc.
• Provide meals for clients' nutritional needs.
• Report changes in clients' condition to nurse, supervisor, or client care coordinator.
• Perform routine housekeeping and home management duties.
• Record each client's care on care plan and submit promptly.
• Provide emotional support for clients and families.
• Assist with routine therapy exercises.
• Participate in case conferences as requested.
• Attend required in-service education sessions.
• Use computer software and smartphone for education.
• Represent the company with a high level of customer service.
