Job summary

Senior Helpers – Cuyahoga West is seeking experienced, compassionate in-home caregivers to support clients in their own homes across weekdays and weekends. You’ll help with daily living activities, mobility, medication reminders, meal prep, light housekeeping, and provide companionship to keep clients safe, comfortable, and independent.

We offer a flexible schedule, competitive pay ranging from $16.00 to $20.00 per hour based on experience, and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for individuals in home, hospital, or facility settings.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Compassionate, dependable attitude; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Observe and report changes in symptoms or condition.
• Prepare meals and light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Follow individualized care plans.

Pay

$16.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and client care needs.

Flexible Scheduling

We offer a variety of shifts to fit your availability, including:

• Weekday and weekend opportunities
• Morning shifts
• Afternoon shifts
• Overnight shifts (as needed)

What You'll Do

You'll provide personalized care tailored to each client's unique needs. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Supporting safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
• Providing medication reminders
• Observing and reporting changes in symptoms or condition
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Offering companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
• Following individualized care plans
• Communicating effectively with families and our office team
• Completing accurate care documentation

Qualifications

We're looking for caregivers who have:

• Experience caring for individuals in a home, hospital or facility setting.
• Previous home care, assisted living, or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• A compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
• The ability to work independently while delivering exceptional care
