Job summary

Senior Helpers of West Cuyahoga &Lorain Counties is seeking experienced, compassionate in-home caregivers to support clients at home on weekdays and weekends. Join a team that values dedication and strives to help seniors stay safe, comfortable, and independent.

Pay ranges from $16 to $20 per hour, based on experience, with flexible shifts including morning, afternoon, and overnight as needed. Mileage reimbursement and ongoing training are provided, along with a supportive office team.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for individuals in a home, hospital or facility setting.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

• Ability to work independently while delivering excellent care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and personal care.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Observe and report changes in client condition.
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Follow individualized care plans and communicate with families and office.
• Complete accurate care documentation.

Pay

$16.00–$20.00 per hour, based on experience, skills, and client care needs.

Flexible Scheduling

We offer a variety of shifts to fit your availability, including:

• Weekday and weekend opportunities
• Morning shifts
• Afternoon shifts
• Overnight shifts (as needed)

What You'll Do

You'll provide personalized care tailored to each client's unique needs. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene
• Supporting safe mobility, transfers, and fall prevention
• Providing medication reminders
• Observing and reporting changes in symptoms or condition
• Preparing meals and assisting with light housekeeping
• Offering companionship, encouragement, and emotional support
• Following individualized care plans
• Communicating effectively with families and our office team
• Completing accurate care documentation

Qualifications

We're looking for caregivers who have:

• Experience caring for individuals in a home, hospital or facility setting.
• Previous home care, assisted living, or skilled nursing experience preferred
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• A compassionate, dependable, and professional attitude
