Job summary

United Energy Workers Healthcare seeks dedicated Registered Nurses to join as 1099 Independent Contractors, delivering compassionate in-home care to energy workers in their homes. You will assess, educate, and support patients, coordinating with case managers and physicians to ensure high-quality, person-centered care.

The role emphasizes trust, safety, and strong communication, with a flexible schedule that fits into patients' plans of care and your independence.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in state of practice.
• Willingness to travel to patients' homes.
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to pass state and federal background checks.
• Malpractice insurance is required.
• Strong problem-solving and empathetic communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough patient assessments and provide personalized, holistic in-home care.
• Educate patients and families on health maintenance and disease prevention.
• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as needed with dignity and respect.
• Coordinate care with patients, plans of care, and treating physicians.
• Monitor symptoms and report changes promptly to the care team.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Communicate with Case Managers and other clinicians to ensure coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation of care provided.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
