Job summary

ABA Journey in Marietta, GA seeks a Behavior Therapist (BT) Trainee to start a rewarding career in pediatric healthcare and behavioral therapy. You will complete competency training and receive a guaranteed pay increase after passing your national board exam.

You will work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum, helping them build communication, social, and daily living skills under the direct supervision of a BCBA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; college coursework in psychology or child development is a plus.
• Criminal background check required.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for home visits.

Responsibilities

• Complete Certification Requirements: finish 40-hour training and pass initial competency assessment.
• Provide 1:1 Therapy: implement behavior intervention plans with pediatric clients.
• Teach Vital Skills: help children develop communication, social, and daily living skills.
• Manage Challenging Behaviors: use positive reinforcement to reduce disruption.
• Data Collection: track client progress on a tablet during sessions.
• Clinical Collaboration: work under supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
