Job summary

ABA Journey in the United States is seeking a Behavior Therapist (BT) Trainee to gain hands-on clinical experience while pursuing certification. You will start with competency training and receive a guaranteed pay increase after passing the national board exam.

You will work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum, helping them build essential communication, social, and daily living skills in a supportive, play-based environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and be physically active.
• Pass comprehensive criminal background check.
• Reliable transportation with valid driver's license.
• No prior ABA experience required (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Complete Certification Requirements: finish 40-hour training and pass competency assessment.
• Provide 1:1 Therapy: implement individualized behavior intervention plans.
• Teach Vital Skills: help children build communication, social interaction, and daily living skills.
• Manage Challenging Behaviors: use positive reinforcement to reduce disruptive behaviors.
• Data Collection: track client progress on a tablet during sessions.
• Clinical Collaboration: work under supervision of a BCBA.
