Job summary

ABA Journey in Georgia is seeking a motivated Behavior Therapist (BT) Trainee to gain hands-on clinical experience while pursuing certification. You will start by completing a 40-hour competency training, work one-on-one with children on the autism spectrum, and receive a guaranteed pay raise after passing the national board exam.

Under the supervision of a BCBA, you will collect data, implement behavior plans, and help clients develop communication, social, and daily living skills.

Qualifications

• Complete Certification Requirements: 40-hour training course and pass initial competency assessment.
• Provide 1:1 Therapy: Implement individualized behavior intervention plans with pediatric clients in a fun, play-based environment.
• Teach Vital Skills: Help children build functional communication, social interaction, and independent living skills.
• Manage Challenging Behaviors: Utilize positive reinforcement strategies to reduce safe-disrupting behaviors.
• Data Collection: Accurately track and record client progress on a tablet during each session.
• Clinical Collaboration: Work under the direct guidance and supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
