Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking an Appliance Care Technician to diagnose and complete in-home repairs on major GE appliances in Tucson, AZ. You’ll assess cost-effective options, decide repair vs replacement, and upsell service contracts and related products while delivering outstanding customer experiences.

You’ll operate a company van, maintain accurate records, participate in ongoing training, and uphold safety standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of appliance repair/electrical/mechanical/HVAC experience.
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook & Teams.
• Flexible schedule including Saturdays.
• Valid state driver’s license; background check, physical and drug screen.
• Must obtain CFC Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances' major appliances.
• Advise on repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products when appropriate.
• Operate an assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations.
• Document repairs, routes, and work activities accurately.
• Participate in training, meetings, and events to maintain expertise.
• Manage inventory and maintenance of the service vehicle.
• Deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.
