Job summary

GE Appliances, a Haier company, is seeking an Appliance Service Technician to diagnose and repair major household appliances in customers’ homes across the Gilbert/Chandler/Mesa/Queen Creek, AZ area. You’ll evaluate whether to repair or replace parts, and you’ll upsell service contracts and related products to provide lasting value.

The role requires strong customer service, problem-solving, and communication skills, plus a valid driver’s license and background checks.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of appliance repair, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, or property maintenance.
• Ability to diagnose and repair major appliances.
• Excellent customer service and communication; proficient with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Teams.
• Valid state driver's license; background check, physical, and drug screen.
• Must obtain CFC Certification within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and complete in-home repairs on GE Appliances' major appliances.
• Recommend repair vs replacement based on cost-effectiveness and customer needs.
• Promote and sell service contracts, water filters, and related products/appliances.
• Operate an assigned Bodewell service van to customer locations.
• Accurately document repairs, routes, and work activities.
• Participate in training sessions, meetings, and events to maintain industry expertise.
• Manage inventory and maintenance of your service vehicle.
• Deliver high-quality service and maintain customer satisfaction.
• Follow safety protocols.
