Job summary

Step Up Family Services is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to provide in-home ABA therapy to children with ASD and other developmental disabilities under BCBA supervision.

The role involves 1:1 sessions, data collection, implementing skill-building and behavior reduction strategies, and collaborating with families and the clinical team in home and center-based settings.

Qualifications

• RBT certification preferred but not required at time of hire; must obtain within 90 days if applicable.
• Experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• Reliable transportation to travel to client homes or centers as needed.
• Must pass background checks including criminal history and abuse registry screenings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA, following individualized treatment plans.
• Record and maintain data on client progress using electronic data collection systems.
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication, social, adaptive, and academic behaviors.
• Follow and apply behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA.
• Assist with generalization of skills across environments, people, and settings.
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA techniques per the client’s plan.
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.
