Step Forward ABA in Portland, OR is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA techniques, promoting independence and social skills in a supportive setting.

The role involves implementing behavior plans, collecting data, and collaborating with families and analysts. A high school diploma is required; RBT certification is preferred or obtained within 30 days of employment. Travel to in-home settings is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass a National Criminal Background check.
• RBT Certification preferred or actively pursuing.
• Completion of RBT certification within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to physically engage with children, lifting up to 30 lbs.
• Spanish-speaking skills are a plus but not required.
• Must be willing to travel and work in-home settings.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using evidence-based ABA techniques.
• Teach skills to enhance communication and functioning.
• Implement and monitor behavior plans, adjust strategies as needed.
• Restructure environments to support positive outcomes and reduce challenging behaviors.
• Collect data and maintain accurate records.
• Communicate with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate activities.
• Complete daily progress notes and maintain records.
