Job summary

Step Forward ABA seeks a Registered Behavior Technician to support children with autism in one-on-one sessions. You will use evidence-based ABA methods to promote independence, social skills, and daily living tasks.

Data collection and progress notes are essential parts of the role, with collaboration with analysts and families to tailor plans. The role involves travel to in-home settings and a commitment to safety, documentation, and ongoing RBT training; Spanish skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Background check cleared (National Criminal Background).
• RBT certification preferred; complete process within 30 days of employment.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel to in-home settings.
• Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using ABA techniques to promote independence and skills.
• Teach communication and functional skills through engaging activities.
• Implement and monitor behavior plans; adjust strategies as needed.
• Set up and modify environments to support positive outcomes.
• Collect data and maintain accurate progress notes and records.
• Communicate with behavior analysts, families, and peers to coordinate care.
