Job summary

Step Up Family Services is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) / Behavior Technician (BT) to implement individualized ABA programs in home settings under direct BCBA supervision. The role focuses on data-driven progress and tailored treatment plans.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma; RBT certification is preferred or required within 90 days if applicable, and experience with ASD or developmental disabilities is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred.
• RBT certification preferred or within 90 days if applicable.
• Experience with children or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Must pass background checks including abuse registry screenings.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 1:1 ABA therapy under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Record and maintain accurate data on client progress.
• Implement skill acquisition programs targeting communication and social behaviors.
• Follow behavior reduction protocols as designed by the BCBA.
• Assist generalization of skills across environments and people.
• Provide reinforcement, prompting, and other ABA strategies.
• Maintain professional conduct per BACB guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing training, supervision, and team meetings.
• Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the clinical team.
• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of clients at all times.
