Job summary

Achieving Stars Therapy is seeking a dedicated Behavior Technician to deliver in-home and community-based ABA services for individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism. You will implement behavior plans, collect data, and support care coordination with a BCBA and the interdisciplinary team.

The role emphasizes patient privacy under HIPAA, teamwork, and strong communication. Travel is required; in-person work location is standard in Abilene, KS.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, particularly autism.
• Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Understanding of HIPAA regulations and maintaining confidentiality of medical records.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans as directed by the supervising BCBA.
• Collect data on client behavior during sessions.
• Assist in the development and implementation of care plans.
• Utilize ABA techniques to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure effective care coordination.
