Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Evidence of 72.0 college-level quarter credits or an associate’s degree OR Paraprofessional Assessment with required scores.
• 14 hours Fundamental Course of Study during first year.
• 70 hours of professional development to obtain the General Paraeducator Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assist students one-to-one and in small groups to support instructional areas.
• Help manage behavior and conflict resolution.
• Assist teachers with learning materials preparation and record-keeping.
• Maintain student records and assist with attendance and grades.
• Ensure student safety and supervise activities as assigned.
• Use computers and district-adopted software for classroom tasks.
