Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Import Specialist in Valley Stream, NY to manage full ocean import operations from origin to final destination. The role requires Cargowise experience and strong coordination with carriers, brokers, and internal teams.

You will ensure documentation accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery while contributing to a collaborative, results-driven logistics team. This is an on-site, permanent position with competitive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Shipment delivery on time per customer's request.
• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean import shipments from origin to final destination.
• Prepare and review import documentation for customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with CBP, FMC and other regulations.
• Communicate with carriers, brokers, overseas agents and internal teams.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely processing.
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in internal systems.

Job Details

Responsibilities

• Shipment Delivery on time per customer's request.
• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean import shipments from origin country to final destinations
• Prepare and review import documentation for Import customs clearance
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments
• Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system

Qualifications

• Experience with Cargowise is essential
• Experience in ocean import operations or international freight forwarding preferred
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
