Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Import Specialist with CargoWise experience to join our Newark, NJ team on an on-site basis. You will manage ocean and air imports, prepare customs paperwork, and coordinate carriers and brokers to ensure timely delivery.

The ideal candidate has import operations exposure, strong organization and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Deliver shipments on-time as requested by customers.
• Coordinate full cycle of ocean and air import shipments.
• Prepare and review import documentation for customs clearance.
• Ensure compliance with CBP, FMC and other regulators.
• Communicate with carriers, brokers, overseas agents and internal teams.
• Track and monitor shipments to ensure timely processing.
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery.
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system.

• Shipment Delivery on time per customer's request.
• Coordinate full-cycle of ocean and air import shipments from origin country to final destinations
• Prepare and review import documentation for Import customs clearance
• Ensure compliance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), FMC, and other regulatory requirements
• Communicate effectively with carriers, customs brokers, overseas agents, and internal departments
• Track, trace, and monitor progress of shipments and deliveries to ensure timely processing
• Issue delivery orders and coordinate final-mile delivery with trucking companies
• Maintain accurate records and data entry in the internal system

Qualifications

• Experience in ocean or air import operations or international freight forwarding preferred
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
