Job summary

Hapag-Lloyd AG in the United States seeks a Coordinator of Sales Steering Imports to drive export/import trades, maximize volume and contribution, and improve customer performance and satisfaction. You will work with the Trade Management department to establish opportunities and optimal rates for customers that meet expectations.

In this role you will provide full inbound support, prepare manifests, coordinate with GSC centers, and manage release and customs processes while maintaining ISO9002

Qualifications

• Associates Degree required and 2 years’ experience in the Maritime Industry preferred.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Proficient in MS Office and shipping software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate sales efforts to maximize volume and contribution in export/import trades.
• Provide full customer service for inbound questions and shipment details.
• Collaborate with GSC Global Service Centers on import documents.
• Prepare manifests and facilitate customs clearance and release.
• Handle invoices for additional charges and maintain ISO9002 records.
• Investigate and resolve shipment problems.
