Hapag-Lloyd in the United States seeks a Coordinator of Sales Steering Imports to coordinate sales in export/import trades, drive customer performance, and align with Trade Management for new business opportunities and competitive rates.

You will handle inbound inquiries, prepare manifests, collaborate with GSC on import documents, release cargo, and arrange land-bridge transport, issuing delivery orders and maintaining records per ISO9002.

Formación

• Associates Degree required; 2 years maritime experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate clearly by phone; patient and empathetic.
• Knowledge of shipping terms, routing, schedules and country practices.
• Proficient in MS Office and related software.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate sales efforts to maximize volume and contribution in export/import trades.
• Provide full customer service on inbound questions including arrival information, charges due, delivery location, and B/L info.
• Prepare Customs Manifest and Freight Manifest where applicable.
• Collaborate with GSC on import document preparation and release.
• Review and resolve queries from GSC regarding import cargo issues.
• Communicate with internal and external customers via email and phone.
• Facilitate cargo release, customs clearance, and filing for General Order processes.
• Arrange Mini Land Bridge transportation and bookings with GSC.
• Prepare delivery orders and support customers with proper information and processes.
• Maintain archives and data per ISO9002 requirements.
• Investigate and resolve problems; write petition letters to customs when needed.
