Job summary

Kraft Group LLC is seeking an Import Operations Manager to oversee import processes for multiple subsidiaries in the USA, coordinating with ports, brokers, and shipping companies. The role emphasizes timely execution, cost control (demurrage/detention), and ensuring required export/import documents are bundled with cargo.

The candidate will design and monitor KPIs, drive improvements, and foster teamwork to ensure smooth cargo flows across US ports and borders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in industrial civil engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience leading and/or executing projects.
• Certification in Project Management and Agile Methodologies preferred.
• Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Access proficiency for reports and data manipulation is a plus.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required.
• Attention to detail and focused concentration.
• Ability to learn new tasks and work independently.
• Ability to make timely decisions within the workflow.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate transversally with the transportation and warehouse teams for cargo release and departure from ports.
• Generate controls, meetings, and contacts with subsidiaries to forecast cargo arrivals at US ports.
• Manage import processes to avoid demurrages and detentions and ensure service levels.
• Ensure import documents (BL, PL, ISF) are included with cargo to ports and borders.
• Connect with BEST methodologies and propose improvements to workflows.
• Design, monitor, and analyze KPIs for process performance and improvements.
• Promote a trusting, collaborative environment within the team.
