Job summary

CMPC GA in Atlanta, GA is seeking an Import Operations Manager to oversee import processes for multiple subsidiaries and ensure timely, cost-efficient operations. You will coordinate with ports, brokers, and shipping companies while maintaining accurate export/import documentation and KPI-driven performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in industrial civil engineering or related field, 2+ years of project leadership, and bilingual English/Spanish communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in industrial civil engineering or related field.
• 2+ years of professional experience leading and/or executing projects.
• Certification in Projects and Agile Methodologies preferred.
• Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) experience is a plus.
• Microsoft Access (ability to pull reports, manipulate, and move data) is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with transportation and warehouse teams for cargo release and port departure.
• Create updated cargo arrival forecasts with all subsidiaries.
• Manage import processes to avoid demurrage and detention costs and maintain service levels.
• Ensure import documents (BL, PL, ISF) are complete for ports/borders from Comex area.
• Propose improvements aligning with BEST methodologies and monitor KPI performance.
• Foster a collaborative team environment to maximize performance.
