Job summary

Clutch Global Logistics, Inc. is seeking an experienced Import Division Manager in Lombard, IL to lead the import operations team. The role drives end-to-end air and ocean imports, ensures compliant and profitable shipments, and develops a high-performing group.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in international freight forwarding with import expertise, strong leadership, and effective communication skills. Hybrid work arrangement available with an emphasis on accountability and results.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in international freight forwarding with import focus.
• Experience supervising or leading a team of operators.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, schedule, and balance workload across a team of import operators.
• Hire, onboard, and train new operators; build ramp-up process.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching; manage corrective actions.
• Serve as escalation point for complex files, difficult customers, or disputes.
• Keep department SOPs current and ensure regulatory updates are applied.
