Job summary

University of Massachusetts Medical School is seeking an Implementation Support Specialist II to help organizations and teams implement innovations, contextualize approaches, and build local capacity. You will collaborate with UMass Chan team members and external partners in co-creation, ongoing improvement, and sustainability efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher required.
• 2–4 years of professional experience in planning, teamwork, and stakeholder collaboration.
• Empathetic, curious, strong critical thinking; committed to equity in implementation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; proficient with email and spreadsheets.
• Preferred: knowledge of and experience with the criminal-legal system.

Responsibilities

• Promote stakeholder involvement in all stages of design and implementation.
• Bridge groups vital for success of an implementation initiative.
• Lead collaborative implementation planning and co-develop plans with stakeholders.
• Select models, frameworks, and tools to guide implementation efforts.
• Build consensus around initiatives and supports across teams.
• Assess implementation capacity strengths and needs with stakeholders.
• Co-design tools, processes, and governance for implementation.
• Deploy and analyze qualitative/quantitative feedback; lead debriefings.
• Provide or secure training for stakeholders and connect with trainers and coaches.
• Identify organizational changes needed to develop implementation capacity.
• Assist teams with adapting to changes over time in use of innovations.
• Supervise Implementation Support Specialists I, interns, and other staff.
• Other duties as assigned to support implementation efforts.
