Job summary

ChenMed in Alabama is seeking an X-Ray Technician to perform radiographic exams under physician orders, ensuring all images meet quality and ALARA standards. You will position patients, protect with shielding, and assist with a range of radiology and basic patient-care tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Minimum one year of radiologic technology experience is required; BLS certification within 90 days and EMR system familiarity preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for Radiological Technology or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• A minimum of 1 year x-ray technologist work experience in a healthcare environment required; 2 years preferred
• BLS certification within first 90 days of employment

Responsibilities

• Position patients under X-ray, adjust immobilization, and provide radiation protection.
• Assist physicians with procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy, and injections.
• Maintain radiology reports, film files, and referrals logs.
• Maintain supplies/equipment and uphold OSHA safety standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
