Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited program for Radiological Technology or Basic X-Ray Machine Operator required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year x-ray technologist work experience in a healthcare environment required; 2 years preferred.
• BLS certification from AHA or Red Cross required within first 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Positions patient under X-ray machine, adjusts immobilization devices, and provides radiation protection.
• Performs radiographic exams ordered by physicians with proper positioning and exposure.
• Prepares reports and maintains radiology records and logs.
• Maintains supplies, equipment, and follows OSHA safety standards.
