The State of Indiana is hiring for a paraprofessional role within the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services. You will support Vocational Rehabilitation staff, assist in eligibility processing, and provide VR orientation to applicants. Some travel is required.

Ideal candidates have two years of college coursework with relevant experience in social services. A degree is not required, and benefits are comprehensive for full-time employees.

Qualifikationen

• Ability to research, analyze, and compile topics related to program area.
• Clear and effective verbal and written communication.
• Ability to operate effectively in group decision-making processes.
• Tact in dealing with agency personnel and the public.
• Specialized knowledge of accounting and budgeting.

Aufgaben

• Provide paraprofessional, technical and fiscal support to VR staff.
• Assist in acquiring consumer records from multiple sources for eligibility processing.
• Lead VR orientation for program applicants in group or one-on-one settings.
• Travel as required for program support and coordination.
• Assist in preparing program reports and budgets, and purchasing services.
