Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or closely related field with at least 1 year of demonstrated paid or unpaid experience with individuals with disabilities.
• Direct work with individuals with disabilities in settings such as independent living centers or direct service/advocacy roles.
• Experience in human resources, recruitment, or supervising employees is a plus for competitive integrated employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients in exploring career choices and counseling on vocational goals and services.
• Provide services to promote self-sufficiency and remove barriers to employment.
• Develop, assess, and monitor individualized service plans with clients.
• Authorize and approve expenditure of funds for services and goods.
• Interpret evaluation results to inform career choices for clients with disabilities.
• Determine VR eligibility and severity per federal/state regulations.
• Coordinate services from multiple providers and vendors.
• Refer to other agencies and community partners as needed.
