Job summary

Volunteers of America Mid-States is seeking a Program Manager I to lead the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program in Bowling Green, KY. This exempt, full-time role reports to the Senior Director/Associate Director of Veteran Services and guides staff, budgets, and community partnerships to prevent homelessness among Veterans.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor of Social Work or related field and minimum 3 years of experience in the field.
• Veteran with 5 years of related work experience would qualify.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; highly organized; creative problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Provide outreach in the local communities.
• Provide staff supervision and training; conduct evaluations.
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of program budgets.
• Conduct review of employee case files and weekly treatment team meetings.
• Ensure compliance with VA and VOA policies and procedures.
• Property management for the SSVF regional office.
• Complete documentation and reporting accurately and timely.
• Maintain programs database and HMIS.
• Build relationships with agencies and service providers.
• Promote VOA programs and develop outreach.

Skills
