Job summary

Midlands Center, part of the South Carolina Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities, is seeking a Training Coordinator to deliver and coordinate staff development training. The role includes managing in-service training, certifications, and volunteer activities, with emphasis on accurate record-keeping and program delivery.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree and relevant experience, with knowledge of training principles and the ability to train groups and facilitate

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and relevant experience.
• Knowledge of training principles and practices.
• Ability to conduct conferences, lead discussions, and train groups.
• Ability to analyze training needs and develop solutions.
• Ability to establish and maintain working relationships.
• Ability to record and manage training records per protocols.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new employee in-service training and annual trainings.
• Train modules for staff orientation and other classes as directed.
• Maintain certifications and coordinate Therapeutic Options/Defensive Driving activities.
• Facilitate assigned training programs (e.g., PRA, First Aid, CPR).
• Manage Midlands Center Volunteer Services activities and training records.
• Encourage ongoing professional development and staff growth.
