Qualifications

  • Licensure as LMSW, LISW-CP or LPC.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to lead committees.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and implement a comprehensive staff development program for clinical and administrative staff.
  • Monitor compliance with required trainings and maintain training files.
  • Oversee onboarding of clinical interns/volunteers and manage documentation.
  • Lead CARF accreditation activities and prepare related materials.
  • Provide DLA-20 training and follow-up feedback for rostered staff.
  • Ensure compliance with the Office of Mental Health Compliance Plan.

This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) - Office of Mental Health, Columbia Area Mental Health, 2715 Colonia Drive, Columbia, SC 29203.

As the Program Coordinator II, you will develop, coordinate and implement a comprehensive clinical and administrative staff development program within the mental health center, ensuring that trainings are made available based on the identified needs of center staff. maintain a tracking system to ensure trainings are provided as needed and that all staff are compliant with required trainings. Asist with providing compliance, clinical and special topics trainings in the center and community. Oversee the correspondence and preparation processed involved in the center working with clinical interns and their respective educational institutions.

Responsibilities for the Program Coordinator II:
  • Coordinate the provision of all required trainings, including but not limited to: MAPS, C{R, First Aid, New Employee Orientation, Adverse Incident Reporting, CALM and any newly required OMH trainings.
  • Implement staff development activities that meet the needs of clinical and administrative staff of the center. Act as Chair of the Staff Development and Training Committee.
  • Monitor and track staff compliance with all required trainings. Maintain staff training files. maintain EBP trainings list for the center.
  • Oversee the onboarding of clinical interns/volunteers for the center, including correspondence with potential interns/volunteers, supervisors, educational institutions and CAMHC Administration. Administer required documentation packets to interns/volunteers and ensure these are completed and collected prior to their start date. Oversee volunteer's chairmanship of the Patient Advisory Board. Send volunteer report to state office monthly.
  • Coordinate, CARF accreditation process. Oversee the collection and management of information to support CARF accreditation. Organize and oversee CAMHC meetings related to CARF preparation.
  • provide DLA-20 training and follow-up feedback to ensure trained staff are rostered.
  • Comply with the Office of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing job duties.
  • A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
  • A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and at least two (2) years of post-graduate clinical experience.
Additional requirements:
  • A high degree of organizational skills and understanding of organizational dynamics.
  • Extensive clinical experience and strong clinical skills.
  • Licensure as LMSW, LISW-CP or LPC.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
