Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Threat Investigations Analyst to join its Proactive Trust & Safety team in Los Angeles. The role focuses on investigating Terms of Service violations, building automated detection and enforcement rules, and collaborating with Product and Engineering to improve safety features.

You will analyze data, identify emerging abuse trends, and apply data-informed approaches, including LLM-based methods, to scale safety efforts and measure impact across the platform.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of abuse detection, enforcement, and/or investigations.
• 2+ years applying SQL in investigations work, including querying large datasets and identifying trends.
• 2+ years of data analysis and visualization to draw insights.
• Experience in a content moderation environment with exposure to sensitive content.
• Flexible working hours: evenings/weekends when needed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Terms of Service and Community Guidelines investigations, analyze data and trends, and document insights for cross-functional teams.
• Identify abuse trends and propose mitigation, including automated enforcement and product improvements.
• Build and maintain automated detection and enforcement rules for accuracy and compliance.
• Apply LLM-based approaches to scale detection capabilities.
• Measure progress with metrics reflecting safety impact and mitigations.
• Collaborate with scaled review teams and provide training on detection techniques.
• Share knowledge with T&S and cross-functional teams on prevention techniques.
• Improve internal investigation and detection tools through process enhancements.
