BayMark Health Services, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Counselor for an outpatient clinic in Massachusetts.

The role focuses on guiding patients through medically assisted programs, offering coping strategies for opioid addiction, and conducting group and individual sessions to support crisis management. Key duties include initial assessments, treatment planning, and collaboration with doctors and therapists to maximize patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Behavioral Science with counseling experience.
• Certification: CAC, CADC, or CADC II required/preferred.
• Satisfactory background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility interviews.
• Establish and review initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services.
• Involve families in the recovery process when possible.
• Address patient grievances and complaints as needed.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
