Job summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Counselor for outpatient care. The role includes conducting assessments, delivering individual and group counseling, and coordinating services across the treatment team to support opioid use disorder recovery.

The position emphasizes collaboration with doctors, nurses, and therapists, plus involvement of families when appropriate. A background check and drug screen are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 1 year of counseling experience.
• Master’s degree with 1 year of counseling experience.
• Associate’s or high school with current certification and 1 year supervision (CAC, CADC, CADC II, or LADC II).

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial assessments and determines service eligibility.
• Facilitates initial treatment plans with each patient.
• Complete Bio-psychosocial assessments.
• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services.
• Involve families in recovery when possible.
• Address patient grievances and complaints.
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
