Job summary

BayMark Health Services is seeking a compassionate Substance Use Counselor to guide patients through MAT programs and coping strategies for opioid addiction. You will conduct initial assessments, lead group and individual sessions, and collaborate with clinicians to optimize treatment outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 1 year of individual counseling experience
• Masters Degree in Behavioral Science with a minimum of 1 year of individual counseling experience
• Associates Degree or High School Diploma with a current certification and 1 year of supervision; CAC/CADC/CADC II or LADC II are acceptable

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial assessments and eligibility interviews
• Develop and review initial treatment plans with each patient
• Provide individual and group counseling; coordinate services throughout treatment
• Involve families in the recovery process when possible
• Develop aftercare and discharge plans
• Handle patient grievances and respond to concerns
