Durham School Services is seeking a dispatch coordinator to manage daily driver assignments and routing for multiple routes. You will coordinate with drivers, assist with routing, and ensure timely service delivery across routes and field trips.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Dispatch experience preferred; routing knowledge essential.
• Ability to communicate effectively in fast-paced environments.
• Must read maps and interpret directions accurately.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and routing software.

Responsibilities

• Directs and monitors daily assignments; schedules drivers and assigns vehicles to ensure route coverage.
• Communicates routing details to drivers for accurate execution.
• Assists drivers with routing directions and special services when needed.
• Coordinate vehicle service and repairs to ensure uninterrupted service.
• Maintains route documentation and records; responds to customer inquiries.
• Escalates unresolved issues to management and adheres to policies.
