Job summary

PACS is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients, communicate with families and physicians, and maintain meticulous documentation. The role includes supervising assistants and training facility staff, with duties spanning evaluation, treatment plan development, and discharge planning.

The position requires state licensure as an SLP, excellent communication, and proficiency with Casamba and Point Click Care.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an SLP by the state where services are provided or equivalent as per state practice acts.
• Proficient in documentation and reporting per regulatory requirements.
• Strong communication with families, physicians and health team members.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral or 1 business day and document delays.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans.
• Treat patients per physician plan and supervise SLP Assistants as needed.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and health team.
• Instruct families and staff on discharge and maintenance programs.
