Job summary

PACS Group, a healthcare provider in the United States, seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate patients within 24 hours of physician referral and to develop effective treatment plans.

You will supervise Speech Language Pathologist Assistants, document evaluations and progress notes, participate in discharge planning, and mentor CFY/RFP students while ensuring compliance with state practice Acts and facility policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Speech Language Pathology required; advanced degrees preferred.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in the state with ongoing CE requirements.
• Ability to supervise CFY or Clinical Fellows as applicable.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of referral.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans from referring physicians.
• Treat patients per the physician plan and document progress.
• Supervise Speech Language Pathologist Assistants in direct care.
• Record evaluations, treatment notes, and progress.
• Discharge planning and family instruction.
• Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and in-services.
• Act as a clinical preceptor for CFY/RFP students.
• Comply with state practice acts and facility policies.
• Relate positively with patients, families, staff, and colleagues.
