Job summary

The position requires a high school diploma, completion of two years of college coursework or an associate degree, and Parapro/PRAXIS qualifications. CPR/First Aid and annual health trainings are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; fingerprinting and background check required.
• Two years of college coursework (48 semester hours), or an associate degree, or a passing Parapro Assessment (460+).
• CPR & First Aid certification within 2 months of hire; Safety Care; Annual Health Services Training; strong English skills; basic math ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise students in general education classes according to IEP needs.
• Support a teacher in delivering small group instruction and classroom interventions.
• Engage with students with health care needs and develop daily living and behavioral skills.
• Collect and monitor student data for progress and IEP goals; maintain confidentiality.
