Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and pass the GACE Paraprofessional Assessment, required.
• An associate degree or higher from a Georgia PSC-approved college or university is required.
• 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours with GPA 2.0+ from PSC-approved college.
• Valid PSC-approved paraprofessional certificate is required.

Responsibilities

• Assists students with physical and personal care needs as per IEP and district policy.
• Provides small group and/or one-on-one instruction per lesson plans.
• Assists with health-related care and medication procedures as trained.
• Supports teachers with classroom management and recordkeeping tasks.
• Implements accommodations and modifications per IEPs and monitors progress.
