Job summary

International Leadership of Texas seeks certified teachers to join our special education team. Provide instruction across core subjects, with focus on ARD/IEP planning and behavior management.

The role requires collaboration with general education staff to adapt curricula and support students with autism and intellectual disabilities. Candidates will plan lessons, assess progress, and document ARD/IEP outcomes while maintaining professional communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of ARD/IEP goal setting and implementation.
• Ability to instruct students and manage behavior.
• Understanding of learning characteristics of students with autism, intellectual disabilities and emotional disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and accommodations.
• Plan and use instruction and learning strategies reflecting diverse needs.
• Assess student learning and adjust plans based on results.
• Prepare ARD/IEP documents and participate in ARD meetings.
• Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curricula for special education students.
• Supervise instructional aides and allocate tasks.
• Support social skills, self-help and behavior plans as required.
• Provide ongoing documentation and maintain records.
