Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
• North Carolina Professional Educator's License in an Exceptional Children's teaching area or eligibility.
• Valid motor vehicle operator's license according to NC requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develops IEPs for students with disabilities; updates IEPs as needed.
• Implements instructional strategies and progress monitoring tools for specially designed instruction.
• Assists students in completing curriculum tasks and achieving IEP goals.
• Employs varied teaching methods, adaptations, and materials to meet student needs.
• Monitors student behavior; maintains classroom discipline and deescalates behaviors.
• Attends IEP meetings and collaborates as part of the instructional team.
