Job summary

The Pavilion Behavioral Health System in Champaign, IL seeks a Full-Time Special Education Teacher to join a multidisciplinary treatment team, providing direct education services and developing IEPs based on state standards.

You will plan daily lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with therapists, teachers, and guardians to support safe learning environments and student achievement.

Qualifications

• Special education teaching certification required.
• Experience developing and updating IEPs.
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills.
• Ability to apply crisis intervention strategies.
• Experience working in a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, maintains and updates IEPs based on curriculum and standards.
• Plans daily written lessons aligned to IEP goals and state standards.
• Monitors student progress and uses interventions as needed.
• Maintains classroom management and safe learning environment.
• Collaborates with teachers and staff to support student achievement.
