Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of special education instructional strategies, including differentiated instruction, accommodations, and modifications.
• Develop, implement, monitor IEPs and behavior support plans in alignment with legal and district requirements.
• Strong classroom management, organization, and documentation skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration with students, families, colleagues, and community partners.
• Understanding of child development, inclusive practices, and culturally responsive teaching.
• Familiarity with assessment tools, progress monitoring, and data-driven decision-making.
• Proficiency with educational technology and digital resources used in instruction and documentation.
• Valid Illinois PEL with SPED endorsement or eligibility to obtain it.
• Experience in school settings supporting learners with diverse needs; internship or prior teaching experience in special education is preferred.
• Commitment to equity, inclusivity, and ongoing professional growth.
