Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Paraeducator for Special Education to support instruction for students with disabilities in center-based, resource, or mainstream settings. The role requires assisting with behavior management, progress monitoring, and daily living skills while maintaining student data.

The position is full-time (184 days/6.5 hours per day) with pay ranges depending on experience and credentials, and benefits eligibility. Start date is August 31, 2026.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• ParaEducator certification must be completed within 30 days of start date.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work with students with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of students with disabilities in various classroom settings.
• Manage behavior and redirect disruptive students as needed.
• Monitor and record student progress in academics and daily living skills.
• Assist with toileting, feeding, dressing, lifting, positioning, and transportation as required.
