Job summary

Sylvania seeks a Paraeducator Special Education to support students with disabilities in mainstream, resource room or center-based settings. The full-time role is 184 days/6.5 hours per day, beginning after a 5-day posting period.

Duties include instructional support, behavior management, and progress monitoring. Minimum qualifications include a HS diploma or equivalent, ParaEducator certification within 30 days, and 60 credits/associate degree or ParaPro exam.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• ParaEducator certification must be completed within 30 days of start date.
• Candidates may have 60 credits/associate degree or higher, or have passed the ParaEducator or ParaPro exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instruction of students with disabilities in various settings.
• Manage behavior, monitor progress, and support daily living skills.
• Safely assist with physical needs and supervision in the classroom.
